"The Government of India is honouring the memory of all the indentured workers who left India from Kolkata Port to settle in various countries in the 19th century and early 20th century. The Hon'ble Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs will unveil a Memorial Plaque in the memory of these Indian indentured workers at Kidderpore Docks in Kolkata on 11th January, 2011."

10th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas - Jan 7-9, 2012
The 10th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is being held at Jaipur from 7-9 January, 2012. The Prime Minister of India will inaugurate the event and President will deliver the valedictory address.
