Affidavits (Single or Joint) can be got executed in the Embassy. The commonly used Single and Joint Affidavits are listed below. Affidavits other than the ones listed below should be submitted by the executant on plain paper using appropriate format and language. It is open to the Consular Officer to vet these documents for any possible discrepancy, malafide content, capacity of the executant,
document being incomplete, etc. The document will be attested once the Consular Officer is generally satisfied with the content, language, format etc. The following norms are to be observed, in general:
1. All Affidavits should be submitted in duplicate.
2. The executant should sign the Affidavit in person in presence of the Consular Officer.
3. The executant must produce his/her valid Indian Passport for verification of the executant.
Photocopy of the passport will not be accepted.
